JUNE SERTOMA ABC'S: ALLERGIES, BIO-ECONOMY, CUBS!
Many of us start the summer with a sneeze from all of the pollen in the Iowa air. Dr. Jim Wille, an allergy specialist, will visit with us June 5 to talk about what you can do to make pollen season more bearable.
June 12 is Bioeconomy day at Sertoma. ISU County Extension Education Director Jeanine Baldwin will address “The Bioeconomy: Creating New Linkages Between Agriculture, Energy and the Environment"
Prior to working for Iowa State University, Ms. Baldwin served as the Vice President of the Jasper County Alliance for Economic Development and as Corporate Secretary and Human Resources Director for the Greater Des Moines Chamber of Commerce Federation.
An Iowa Cubs representative joins us June 19 to tell us what's going on at Principal Park and with the Cubs organzation. We will also draw the winner for the raffle of a skybox for the June 20 game. Ask any Sertoman for a ticket!
There is no evening meeting this month; it will be replaced by our annual banquet July 7, featuring District Governor Steve Brown and International Director Tim Hazel, as well as the musical stylings of Rob Lumbard.
Another great month for Sertoma. Don't miss out - join today!
