January Fun Facts: The name January came from a Roman god Janus - It is the coldest month in the northern half of the world, nature is quiet and the birds travel less – The southern half of the world, January is the warmest month, unlike the northern half of the world, animals are active and plants are growing….


On January 8th, our speaker is Dave Elbert,Dave%20Elbert.jpg the new guy at the Business Record, many of you know him from his 36 years at the Register and Tribune, the last 26 as a business writer, editor and columnist. I took early retirement in April, turned 65 in May, and now I’m ready to try something new.

On January 15th, our speaker is Zach Mannheimer, Zachery%20Mannheimber.jpg established the Des Moines social club.
