May 20, 2007 Newsletter

We are a week from the Memorial Day Holiday, the unofficial first week of summer. With the weather this past weekend it has me certainly thinking of summer and all the exciting things I have to look forward to, such as the Fantasy Baseball camp, Dick Noyce’s golf and cookout, Inaugural Dinner and the end of summer Sertoma Picnic. I am also looking forward to my own personal family vacation to the Black Hills in South Dakota. I am sure many of you have your own personal vacations planned during the summer, but please don’t forget the important Sertoma dates and events that are happening.

One event that is coming up that we as the Sertoma Club is being asked for help, is the Ruby Van Meter Field Day. VOLUNTEERS are needed May 25th (Friday) at 8:00 AM to help set-up, man and take down two batting cages for the Ruby Van Meter Field Day. Also if you have items for the Ruby Van Meter garage Sale on June 2nd contact John Badger if you need the item picked up. VOLUNTEERS are also needed the day of the garage sale.
